Nurio
A production booking and payment platform I built and operate, handling paid reservations, capacity limits, waitlists, refunds and operational notifications. Three separate services, each with its own site and app, run on one Rails codebase: nurio.kr for in-person language-exchange meetups in Seoul and Daejeon, study.nurio.kr for learners in small-group English speaking studies, and studyleaders.nurio.kr for the English session leaders who run them. A 1:1 tutor marketplace is built and launching soon.

What I built
- Tickets and checkout
Event tickets, passes and add-ons, paid by card through PortOne, bank transfer, an in-app wallet or on site.
- Automatic refunds
Refunds follow a versioned cancellation policy and go back through PortOne automatically.
- Waitlist
Full events take a waitlist; when a seat opens, the guest is confirmed and notified.
- QR check-in and no-show deposits
Staff scan ticket QR codes or guests check in themselves; deposits are kept on no-shows and a reliability score sets access.
- Automatic table grouping
A constraint solver seats guests to balance nationalities and avoid repeat pairs.
- Study app for learners (study.nurio.kr)
Learners join small English speaking groups with subscriptions, session credits, pair practice, group chat and class feedback, on the web and their own Android app.
- Portal for session leaders (studyleaders.nurio.kr)
Leaders see today's sessions, set a weekly schedule with exceptions, subscribe to a calendar feed, hand over sessions while away, report incidents, chat with their groups and track earnings.
- AI level assessment
Speech-to-text, Azure pronunciation scoring and AI-written feedback place learners at the right level.
- Notifications and sign-in
Web push, app push and email, with Kakao, Apple, Google, Naver and passkey sign-in.
- Admin analytics
About 20 admin analytics dashboards and a referral programme.
